About the instructor

I am a Physician Coach with 10 years of experience, more than 200 hours of coach training, and more than 250 client coaching hours.

I was a successful Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon with a busy practice and a beautiful family.

I had the successful practice that every surgeon aspires to achieve, but I couldn’t enjoy it because I had no time; I was too stressed; and I was trained to prioritize my patient's care over my own well-being. At times, I was approaching burnout, but most of the time, I was just not able to feel the enjoyment of such a great career.

Sometimes, I would feel like I needed to accept my destiny as a surgeon. I was good at what I did, and my knowledge and skill was increasing like any other performer who practices their talent over and over. I truly felt that patients were benefiting from this experience. That’s when I discovered the benefits of coaching.

Perspectives on Sexual Harassment in Surgeon Culture

This month we examined sexual harassment in surgeon culture. While difficult and uneasy, it's critical these conversations take place to improve the practice environment for so many of our colleagues.

SurgeonMasters Monthly Web-Conferences are an opportunity for Surgeons to gather and discuss topics centered around achieving our goals and the mission of SurgeonMasters. Any Surgeon is welcome to join via GoToMeeting or Phone to contribute to the conversation or listen.

Monthly calls take place the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm PST / 9:30 pm EST.
